Security

Your patients’ records, looked after properly.

Dora Dental holds some of the most sensitive information a person has. That shapes how it is built, not just what this page says. Here is what is in place, in plain English.

The paperwork you need

Hosted in London on AWS
Your practice’s data is held on Amazon Web Services in London.
GDPR and a DPA
A data processing agreement, a clear lawful basis, and the export and erasure workflows you need to answer a patient’s request.

Who can see what

Permissions that actually hold
A receptionist cannot open a clinical note, and only the right roles can change one. The rules are checked on the server every time, not just hidden in the screen.
One practice never sees another
Every record belongs to a practice, and it stays there. A cross-tenant test suite checks every route to prove it. In a group, you choose who can see across sites.
Two-factor sign-in
Available to every user with an authenticator app, at no extra cost.

You can always answer the question

Every change is signed and dated
Who changed what, and when, for everything that touches a record.
Even looking is recorded
Opening a patient’s radiographs is recorded too, because looking at a record is access to it.
Nothing disappears
Notes and treatment plan items keep their earlier versions. You can see what a record said before it was edited, and who edited it.
You can search it yourself
The history is a screen your practice manager can search, not a support ticket you have to raise with us.

Keeping it safe

Encrypted
In transit and at rest, including the database, the files and the backups.
Backed up
Automatically, with point-in-time recovery of the database for the last 7 days.
Changes are controlled
Every change to Dora Dental itself is tracked to a reviewed change request before it ships.
Yours to take
Export a patient’s full record, or everything we hold on them, as a PDF, on demand, on every plan.

Ask us anything, before you sign.

Send your security questionnaire over and we will fill it in properly. We would much rather answer the hard questions early than after you have committed.
