Dental practice management

You do dentistry. Dora Dental does the rest.

Quick, clear and a genuine pleasure to use. Chart at the chairside on a tablet, check tomorrow’s list on your phone, run the month end at your desk. Records, calendar, consent, lab and money, all in one system.

Built for solo practitioners and groups alike. Plans differ by size, not by capability.

The visit screen, mid root canal, with the plan and today’s work beside the chart. Tooth numbering, language and currency each follow the practice’s own settings.

Why we built it

A practice day has enough friction in it already.

Nobody became a dentist to keep four systems in step. The software you spend all day in should be fast, obvious and good to look at, and it should hold the whole picture: what you saw, what you plan to do, what it costs and what has been paid. That is the whole idea behind Dora Dental.

01

A chart that keeps up with you

Mark up a tooth surface by surface in seconds. Baby teeth and mixed dentition are there from the start, and the numbering follows whichever system you were trained on.

02

A plan that stays alive

Proposed, accepted, part done, revised. The plan moves as the treatment does, and the estimate and the invoice stay attached to the item they came from.

03

Money that adds up

Estimates, the patient’s share, payments and refunds all sit in one place. The balance the front desk quotes is the balance that is really there.

What you get

More dentistry. Less everything else.

Plans differ by how many clinicians use Dora Dental, not by which features you are allowed to have. Usage-priced add-ons are the only thing priced separately.

Clinical

The visit on a single screen: the chart, your notes, the treatment plan, prescriptions, letters, x-rays and documents, tab by tab, without losing sight of the tooth you are looking at.

  • Full-mouth charting
  • Baby and mixed dentition
  • Treatment plans and phasing
  • Periodontal, endodontic and implant records
  • Notes with full history
  • Consent signed on a tablet

Front desk

A calendar that understands your chairs, your clinicians and who is working when. Forms patients fill in before they arrive. A check-in that does not involve a clipboard.

  • Chair and clinician calendar
  • Rotas and availability
  • Recall list
  • Your own questionnaires
  • Lab cases
  • Reminders by email and WhatsApp

Money

Estimates that become invoices that become payments. Quote in one currency and collect in another if that is how your practice works.

  • Estimates and acceptance
  • Invoicing and payments
  • Two currencies at once
  • Memberships
  • Patient balances

Practice

Roles that match a real dental team, easy switching between sites for groups, and a complete history of who did what, so you can always answer the question.

  • Roles and permissions
  • Switch between practices
  • Modules you switch on
  • Full activity history
  • See and restore earlier versions
  • Export your data

The visit screen

The screen you will live in.

Most of your day is one visit after the next, so Dora Dental puts the whole visit on one page. The chart on the left, everything else in tabs beside it. Notes, plans, prescriptions, estimates, documents and letters, always a click away and never a page away.

The Dora Dental Agenda: the day’s appointments in time order, each with its length, chair and status, a green badge on the patient who has arrived, a yellow +15 min badge on one who is running late, and buttons to check a patient in or start their visit.
The Agenda, the day as a work queue. Who is in the chair, who has arrived, who is running late, and every visit one click from starting.

On every screen

The practice comes with you.

Dora Dental was designed for a phone as carefully as for a desktop. The day, the diary and the patient record are all there, laid out for the screen you are holding rather than squeezed onto it. Look up tomorrow’s list on the bus, confirm an appointment between patients, check a balance from the waiting room.

One day across four chairs. Who has arrived, who is running late and who did not come, all visible without opening a thing.
At the desk
The full day in front of you: every chair, every clinician, every appointment, and the drag of a block to move one.
At the chairside
A tablet is a comfortable place to chart from. Big targets, no hunting, nothing that needs a mouse.
In your pocket
The calendar, a patient’s record and their balance, on the phone you already have with you.
The same practice
Your whole patient list, the same permissions, the same records. Not a companion app holding a fraction of the data.
The same day on a phone. The controls move and the grid narrows, but it is the same diary.

Built for more than one country

Your language. Your notation. Your currency.

Dora Dental comes in eight languages, speaks FDI, Universal and Palmer tooth numbering, and handles practices that quote in dollars and collect in something else. These are settings, not different versions of the product. Change one and the whole system follows.

Eight languages
English, Spanish for Spain, Mexico, Argentina and Venezuela, French, French for Monaco, and Brazilian Portuguese.
Three tooth notations
FDI, Universal and Palmer, set once for the practice and used everywhere a tooth is drawn.
Two currencies at once
Quote in one, settle in another, with the rate saved on the transaction so the books still make sense a year later.
12 or 24 hour time
Along with the right date format, address format and number format for where you are. Small things, endlessly annoying when they are wrong.

Your patients’ data

Looked after properly, on every plan including the cheapest.

Patient records are encrypted, backed up and only ever visible to the people you allow. Every change is signed and dated, so you can always see who did what. Hosted in London on AWS.

See it with your own patient list.

Half an hour, your workflow, your questions. If it is not a fit we will tell you.

No card required. Nothing auto-renews into a subscription.
